Silvertip

Silvertip is a grizzly bear, which is the most common species of brown bear in North America.  Brown bears are the second largest bear (after polar bears) and have a distinct shoulder hump that gives them the strength to move rocks and dig through rocky soil.  Brown bears are mostly solitary animals and hibernate during the winter months.  They have a broad range of habitats, as well as diet.  Grizzly bears are known to travel long distances in search of food.  Baby brown bears are usually born in pairs and can climb trees to eat or escape predators.
