Jimmy Skunk

Jimmy Skunk is a striped skunk (we hear about how skunks got their stripe in Old Mother West Wind).  Found in both rural and urban areas, skunks are highly adaptable as long as they are within 2 miles of a water source. Skunks are mostly solitary animals. They are most known for their foul-smelling spray that is released when they feel threatened.  Their diet easily changes depending on season and availability.  There are four species of North American skunks, the striped skunk being the most common.  Skunks have strong front feet and long nails, making them well-equipped for digging holes and burrows.
